NBA Players and Owners Fail to Come to an Agreement

As of this afternoon, the NBA owners and players union were still far from an agreement. As a result, the union is now dissolved, and anti-trust action is moving forward. The final straw was what the players deemed an unacceptable offer that came from David Stern. Stern’s words were quite harsh, stating that there may no pro basketball for years to come. Aside from smaller issues, the players would not go for the proposed 50-50 split of basketball income.
