NBA Season May Start in December

The NBA players’ union and team owners appeared to be close to resolving negotiations that have plagued the league since early July. However, those talks again broke down as both parties conflicted over the few remaining key issues. After nearly a full day of meetings and discussions in New York, those representing NBA owners announced that the cancellation of games would now extend through the entire month of November.

Had the lockout been settled months ago, The Milwaukee Bucks (and every other NBA team,) would have been wrapping up their preseason games this week. Now it looks like we will all be waiting at least another month before any team takes to the court. A shortened NBA season is still something being discussed, so it’s not like all hope is lost for 2011-12.
